The Technion Proteomics Center specilizes in proteiin and peptides analysis using mass spectrometry and bioinformatics. We usually cut the proteins into peptides and resolve the peptides by capillary HPLC that is connected directly into a tandem mass spectrometer. The resulting data is analyzed using specilized siftware tools. Such analyses result is identification of tens of thousands of different peptides and thousands of different proteins from each biosample. In addition, we identify the patterns of the posttranlational modifications of these proteins and define the reletive and absolute amounts of the proteins and peptides.
